Preventing Head Injuries Through Bicycle Helmet Care
I’m Ed Smith, an Oakley Bicycle Accident Lawyer. Going for a helmet-less ride on your bike can feeling amazingly refreshing until you fall and hit your head on the ground beneath you. In reality, the extent of head damage that can result from a bicycle accident can be quite severe – we’re talking about concussions, edemas, skull fractures, and other life-threatening head traumas.
There is a simple measure to prevent your chances of head injury: wear a helmet! They may not be high-fashion, but they provide you with protection that could save a life. A 2016 report by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reported 424 fatal accidents where bicyclists wear riding without a helmet, whereas bikers that were equipped with a helmet had a dramatically reduced rate of fatalities – only 137 accidents. Additionally, a study shown at the Safety 2016 World Conference in Finland revealed that helmets may reduce the chances of head trauma by almost 70%!

I’m Ed Smith, a Tracy personal injury lawyer. A group of four friends had been walking together in Tracy during the early morning of Saturday, April 21, 2018. As they walked southbound along MacArthur Road near Schulte Road one of the members, a 15-year-old girl of Tracy, was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The car reportedly continued southbound along MacArthur Avenue without rendering aid to the injured party. When officers from the Tracy Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered the teen lying near the Tracy Cemetery. Sadly, the girl was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the severity of her injuries.

Woman and Infant Injured in Modesto Pedestrian Accident
I’m Ed Smith, a Modesto personal injury lawyer. A woman was pushing a stroller with a 6-month-old baby inside east Modesto on the night of Sunday, April 22, 2018. The woman was inside the marked crosswalk at Yosemite Boulevard and Santa Ana Avenue when an oncoming vehicle collided with her and the infant.
